Local Guides: for the most part, all were excellent. Most were open and very informative. All spoke English well. Being picked up and the airport dropped off, etc, spoils you. Checking in to the airports was hassle free.

Hotels and Food: Excellent hotels, very good food for the most part. We had heard many stories how bad the food is in China--not so for us (we had a meal here and there that was not up to par--but only a few).

Air Travel: Air travel in China was much better than anticipated. Airports were new, planes were new, and only one flight was delayed.

River cruise--I liked the 3 little gorges especially. The cruise was the high point for our children.

Hotel Breakfast: The breakfast at the hotels was superior to anything in US with a lot more variety of foods.

Everything considered, was a splendid trip. You arranged everything very well. The information you gave us in our packages was excellent. Thank you again.

Everything ran like clockwork. The guides were waiting for us at each airport with signs; checked us into the hotel; were extremely punctual meeting us to go sightseeing; reconfirmed our outbound flights; and assisted with check-in. The flights were all on time; the planes were modern and clean; many of the airports were almost brand new; and there were signs everywhere in English.

Starting with Shanghai and the history and elegance of the Peace Hotel right on through to Beijing, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Our time on the Yangtze River aboard the M/S East Queen was something that will be in our memories forever. The whole Yangtze River experience was superb.

My husband and I would like to thank you for the excellent trip arrangements that you made for our trip through China, Mongolia and Russia. We were extremely pleased with all of our arrangements. One of your contacts who was most helpful was Terry Tong at Unicorn Travel in Hong Kong.

Unfortunately, my passport with the entry visa was accidentally chopped while the Sky Princess ship was in Shanghai even though our party of four had told the ship’s immigration officer that we would stay on board ship while we were in Shanghai. Upon arrival at the Hong Kong Airport for our flight to Xian, I discovered what had happened. We got in touch with the Unicorn Travel, and Terry was able to locate a hotel room for my husband and me. Terry began working on our situation immediately. She was able to tell us what we needed to do to apply for an emergency visa for entry into China.

She faxed us directions to our hotel for our travel to the Chinese Embassy. As soon as receiving my new visa, we went to her travel agency where she helped us make arrangements for a flight to Beijing. Terry put in a lot of extra time after hours assisting us when we were at loss as what to do. Unfortunately my husband and I missed Xian which was the place I wanted to visit. However, my brother and sister-in-law had a wonderful time and were very pleased with your arrangements there. Also, as soon as our guide for Beijing, Sun Ya Xu, learned that my husband and I were in Beijing, he made contact with us offering any assistance as necessary. We were very appreciative of him contacting us so quickly.

Needless to say all of our experiences on this section of our trip through China, Mongolia and Russia were very positive. All of our guides at our stops in Xian, Beijing, Ulan Baatar, Irkutsk, Moscow, and St. Petersburg were extremely friendly and caring. We enjoyed our tours and time spent with them. Our trip into the Gobi Desert and overnight stay in the traditional ger was a great experience. So was our home stay in Listvyanka village on Lake Baikal. We have brought home many wonderful memories. We will certainly recommend your company to all of our traveling friends, and we will be in contact with Asia Voyages again in the future as we plan on returning to China.
